Twenty local business community members graduated as the 25th class from Leadership Bucks County, Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce’s personal and professional development program, on Tuesday. Robert G. Loughery, Chairman of the Bucks County Commissioners and a 1997 Leadership graduate, delivered the Keynote Address on how he uses skills he learned in the leadership program everyday as he makes decisions and works with others to lead Bucks County.

Howard “Chip” Baker, of Chip Baker Consulting, was one of the initial founder of the program. He received an honorary award for 25 years of outstanding service with Leadership Bucks County. “The intensive eight-month program prepares candidates to be a part of a strong core of local leadership. Since its inception in 1991, our mentors have given attendees the direction and support needed to assess and refine their leadership skills,” Baker says.

Leadership Bucks County is a dynamic, interactive program presented annually by the Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce. This program offers participants the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills through individual assessments and activities, acquire a knowledge of issues impacting the area, and meet successful leaders from the private and public sectors. With the graduation of this year’s students, there will be over 400 graduates from this program.

“I want to congratulate our 25th class of Leadership Bucks County graduates,” said Amy M. B. McKenna, President of Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce. The Lower Bucks County Chamber of Commerce’s program has laid the foundation for our participants to create centers of influence, sources of friendship as well as providing resources and tools they can apply throughout their careers.”
