Newtown Township police said a possible child luring incident had been solved.
The Wednesday afternoon incident that happened on Providence Court was sorted out Friday after the owners of the gold sedan that reportedly tried to lure an elementary school-aged child talked with police.
“They are flower delivery people and after an interview presented some indisputable evidence,” police spokesperson Jean Tanner said.
The facts surrounding the incident were confirmed with the flower delivery people and their customer, police said, adding the workers did nothing wrong.
Despite the initial report, police determined the car did not have Kentucky license plates.
The owners of the gold sedan came forward after seeing their vehicle on Facebook.
Wrightstown Elementary School officials initially warned parents after the incident was reported to police.
