Newtown-Makefield Truck Enforcement Unit Cracks Down On Dangerous Vehicles

The Newtown-Makefield Truck Enforcement Unit recently carried out a commercial vehicle safety detail in Wrightstown Township.

The detail took place last Wednesday in the vicinity of Durham Road and Fox Hill Drive.

Throughout the detail, a total of five trucks were subjected to inspections. Four citations were issued against non-compliant truck drivers. Additionally, three of the inspected trucks were deemed unsafe for the roads and subsequently towed away, police said.

The Newtown-Makefield Truck Enforcement Unit is made up of members from the Newtown Borough, Newtown Township, and the Upper Makefield Township police departments.
