Black Fly Suppression Taking Place Friday

The work will take place along the Neshaminy Creek.

A ground-based application of Vectobac 12AS (B.t.i.) is scheduled for Friday on the Neshaminy Creek in Bucks County.  

The suppression activity will begin after 10 a.m. at the 611 Bridge in Doylestown and continue downstream until completion around Playwicki Park area in Middletown Township.  

Treatments will be done where access to riffle areas is possible.  

This work will involve Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection personnel pouring Vectobac into the creek using jugs either from bridges or while wading. 

A marked Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection vehicle will be in the vicinity of all application areas.
