Police Log: Assault Arrest, Thief Uses Man’s Lost Wallet & More

June 19

Assault

At approximately 12:45 a.m., police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a disturbance. As a result of the investigation, one subject was arrested and charged with assault.

Fraud

At approximately 11 a.m., a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report a fraud. The resident explained that they lost their wallet in Middletown Township over the weekend and then found a fraudulent purchase on their credit card. The resident disputed the purchase and was refunded by the bank. Police advised the resident to contact Middletown Township police to report the lost wallet and to contact the major credit bureaus to alert them of the compromised identity.

Fraud

At approximately 10:15 a.m., a Newtown Township resident contacted police to report fraudulent purchases on their credit card. The credit card company investigated and resolved the matter.

June 28

Fraud

At approximately 10:45 a.m., a Wrightstown Township resident contacted police to report a fraud. The resident explained that he found a fraudulent bill in collections under his name. The resident reported the fraud to the bank, and they are investigating the matter.
