Saturday evening’s flash flooding led to road closures in the area.
PennDOT officials said several state roads are closed and will be until crews can inspect the damage.
The below roads were closed by authorities:
- River Road (Route 32) Woodside Road to Route 532 (General Washington Memorial Boulevard) in Upper Makefield and Lower Makefield townships;
- Windy Bush Road (Route 232) between Aquetong Road and River Road (Route 32) in Solebury Township;
- Washington Crossing Road (Route 532) between Dolington Road and Taylorsville Road in Upper Makefield Township; and
- Taylorsville Road between Woodside Road and Washington Crossing Road (Route 532) in Lower Makefield and Upper Makefield townships.
Drivers will be directed on detour routes in the area, authorities said.
“The closures will remain in place until floodwaters from the Delaware River have receded and PennDOT can safely reopen the roadways,” a statement said.
At least three people were killed in Saturday evening’s flash flooding.
