Following a strong storm that hit the area the last Wednesday night, a passerby and a local business jumped into action to save flags, according to the municipality.
Gusts from the storm snapped the rope holding the flags onto its flagpole outside the Wrightstown Township building along Second Street Pike.
In the aftermath, an unidentified good Samaritan passing by noticed the flags hanging off the pole and collected the flags and folding them. They placed the flags on the mailbox near the front door.
Recognizing the need for assistance to hoist the flags back up, Lukens Landscape and Tree Service arrived with their bucket truck to aid on Thursday.
The township expressed gratitude to both the kind stranger and Lukens Landscape and Tree Service.
“Wrightstown Township has been the recipient of a whole lot of kindness, so we sincerely thank all of these very kind folks for their helpfulness and goodwill,” the township posted on Facebook.
