August 19
Fraud
A Newtown Township resident contacted police around 1:15 p.m. to report fraud and identity theft. The resident explained that someone attempted to take out a $10,000 loan with their name, address, date of birth, and social security number. A fraud alert was issued, and the bank canceled the loan.
DUI Crash
Police were dispatched to the intersection at Durham Road and Eagle Road shortly before 6 p.m. for the report of a two-vehicle traffic accident. Upon contact with one of the operators, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The operator refused to submit to chemical blood testing, and charges are pending.
August 19
Disorderly Conduct
At approximately 9:45 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on an Audi S4 operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Second Street Pike and Swamp Road. As a result of the investigation, a small amount of suspected marijuana was discovered and seized as evidence, and the operator was cited with disorderly conduct.
August 20
Disorderly Conduct
At approximately 2:15 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on an Acura TL operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Buck Road and Mill Pond Road. As a result of the investigation, a small amount of suspected marijuana was discovered and seized as evidence, and the operator was cited with disorderly conduct.
August 22
Protection From Abuse Order Violation
At approximately 10 a.m., police were dispatched to a facility in Newtown Township for the report of a disturbance. As a result of the investigation, one subject was taken into custody without incident and charged for violating a Protection From Abuse order.
August 23
Retail Theft
Police were dispatched to Gap around 3:45 p.m. for the report of a retail theft. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
