The Newtown Borough Police Department has been investigating a retail theft incident that took place last month.
Police said that on Wednesday, August 2, the theft occurred at the Fine Wine and Spirits Store located on South State Street.
Authorities reported the perpetrator made off with a bottle of alcohol.
Surveillance photos captured an individual believed to be the suspect. The images were released by police on Tuesday.
The department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying this individual.
