Armed Robbers Flee Newtown Twp.

Police are investigating a robbery that happened in Newtown.

Newtown Township police are investigating an armed robbery that happened on Monday night.

Officers were dispatched to an armed robbery on Autumn Drive, which sits off Lindenhurst Road, around 8 p.m. Monday.

A resident was robbed at gunpoint by two men, police said.

The victim told investigators that he was approached by two males, both armed with black semi-automatic handguns. The suspects forcibly demanded the man’s wristwatch.

The suspects were described as black males of medium build, standing at approximately 5-foot-10. They were dressed in black clothing, gloves, and ski masks, according to police.

After the robbery, the suspects may have escaped in a dark-colored sedan that was missing a license plate. This vehicle was last spotted on the Newtown Bypass, heading in the direction of I-295.

Following the robbery, officers from Newtown Borough, Lower Makefield, Upper Makefield, along with a K-9 unit from Central Bucks Regional Police Department, conducted a manhunt.

The suspects remained on the loose as of Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The resident who was robbed was unhurt.

The Newtown Township Police Department is seeking any leads or additional information regarding the robbery. Witnesses or individuals with knowledge about the crime are urged to contact the department directly or to use the “SUBMIT A TIP” feature.
