Commuters driving past the Newtown Exit on I-295 Wednesday may have noticed camera crews, and actors.
The shoot was taking place at the Yardley Rest Area just past the New Jersey border in Lower Makefield Township.
The scene in production involved two actors engaging in conversation at the rear of a Chevrolet Camaro.
Background actors awaited their cues inside the rest stop, preparing for their moments under the spotlight.
According to a crew member on site, the filming is part of a new true-crime series slated for cable TV.
The series wouldn’t be the first time Bucks County has drawn the attention of the true-crime genre. Over recent years, several high-profile cases from the county have become the subjects of popular TV shows and podcasts.
While Hollywood grapples with the aftermath of the Writer’s Guild of America strike and the ongoing strike by members of the Screen Actor’s Guild, the series was not impacted by the industry disputes.
