Hundreds of thousands of dollars for Bucks County arts groups has been announced.
The money comes through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s PA Arts and Culture Recovery Program and was designed to support the arts in community in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The funding was announced by State Sen. Steve Santarsiero and State Sen. Frank Farry and state representatives Tim Brennan, Perry Warren, Tina Davis, Joe Hogan, and Kristin Marcell, a mix of Democrats and Republicans.
The Artists of Yardley will receive $13,700.
The Bristol Riverside Theater in Bristol Borough will receive $71,653.
The Doylestown-based Bucks County Center for the Performing Arts will receive $16,718.
The Bucks County Childrens Museum in New Hope Borough will receive $17,522.
The County Theater in Doylestown Borough will receive $33,062.
Historic Fallsington in Falls Township will receive $10,000.
The James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown Borough will receive $80,310.
Middletown Township will receive $10,000 for operating expenses for arts organizations within the municipality.
All of the money came through the state’s allotment of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, a $1.9 trillion economic stimulus package.
Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, a Fitzpatrick from Middletown Township, voted against the bill.
President Joe Biden has traveled the country to talk about the passage of the bill and the projects it has been funding.
