Jami Amaro has captured the spotlight on the second season of TLC’s dating reality show “MILF Manor.”
The series, which has made waves due to its provocative premise, pairs older women with younger men. And this season, the young men’s dads are also contestants at the Canadian manor where the show was filmed.
Amaro, who formerly went by Jami Schnell and has the nickname “Sparkle,” previously worked as a children’s reading specialist and is now a dance fitness instructor at the Newtown Athletic Club in Newtown Township. She has three grown children.
Married and divorced twice, including once to former Phillies executive Ruben Amaro Jr., Jami is stepping back into the dating scene with the hopes that the third time’s the charm, according to the show and online biographies.
Her show biography highlights her infectious energy.
Celebrating her television debut, Amaro hosted a viewing party at The Green Parrot in Newtown Township on Sunday.
Amaro said she is “open to all age ranges” when it comes to love. She added that she wants a partner who is educated and “good in bed.”
“MILF Manor” debuted to mixed reactions, but it was deemed a hit and renewed for a second season that debuted Sunday.
The premise of “MILF Manor” was outrageously predicted in 2008 on the NBC comedy “30 Rock.” The series parodied the idea with a show called “MILF Island,” which jokingly sought to reverse NBC’s ratings decline.
