Santina’s Italian Pastry Shop by Nino’s is poised to add a dash of sweetness to Newtown Township as it prepares to open at the Village at Newtown South.
Owners Jane Mendello and her husband, Nino, are no strangers to the bakery business. The couple first introduced their baking to the region in 1996 with the opening of Nino’s Pastry Shoppe on Quakerbridge Road in Hamilton Township in Mercer County, according to Patch.com.
They are now looking to replicate their success with this new venture in Newtown Township.
According to the article on Patch.com, the Mendellos aim to open Santina’s Italian Pastry Shop sometime this spring or early summer.
The location has been empty since Smoothie King, which opened in 2013, shut its doors last summer.
