The Council Rock Newtown Little League team made a comeback on Saturday at the Little League World Series.
The local team clinched a 5-0 victory over the Salem, New Hampshire, squad.
Following a challenging 9-0 loss to a Texas team Thursday night, the Newtown team showed they could play ball. Their breakthrough came during a dynamic fourth inning, where they scored four runs, setting the stage for their win.
The Saturday victory means the team will face the boys from Puyallup, Washington.
The upcoming game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday and will be broadcast on ESPN.
