The Upper Makefield Township Police Department has a new officer.

Officer Dakota Romberger was introduced as its newest member last week during a formal swearing-in ceremony conducted by District Justice Mick Petrucci before the Upper Makefield Township Board of Supervisors.

Romberger, a graduate of the Montgomery County Community College Municipal Police Academy, comes to Upper Makefield after four years working in nearby Yardley Borough.

“We are very happy to have him on board and we know he can’t wait to continue his career here in Upper Makefield!” police posted on social media.

They added: “He knows we have an incredible community and he looks forward to helping us keep Upper Makefield Township one of the safest communities in Bucks County!”

Romberger and his fiancée, Haley, are set to marry this September.
