PennDOT crews will be taking on high-friction resurfacing on one road in Wrightstown Township.
Between the end of October and Tuesday, November 19, PennDOT will be carrying out the high-friction resurfacing on Swamp Road between Rushland-Jamison Road and Mill Creek Road.
Due to the work, there might be alternating lane closures with flaggers on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The high-friction surface treatment is designed to increase traction in both wet and dry conditions, according to the state transportation department.
The application of the treatment is dependent on weather conditions.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when commuting through the work zone due to expected delays and backups.
The work is part of a $4.9 million project to install the high-friction surface treatment on several state highways across Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties, to provide increased friction and grip on pavements in wet and dry conditions.
