Bucks County can expect a bout of snow on Friday afternoon that could make for a slushy evening commute, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather service forecasts that snow will begin falling in the area Friday afternoon and continue into the evening before tapering off.
According to the forecast, accumulations in the area could range from a light dusting to 2 inches.
The heavier snowfall is expected south of Bucks County, according to forecasters.
Meteorologists are also monitoring a potentially more significant weather system slated to arrive Sunday night and continue into Monday. The incoming system could bring several inches of snow.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26. West wind 10 to 15 mph.
Friday: A chance of snow showers, mainly after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 38. West wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Friday Night: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 22. West wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 32. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 21. West wind 10 to 15 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 33.
Sunday Night: Snow likely, mainly after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 23. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Monday: Snow likely, mainly before 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 30. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
