The former Wycombe Inn officially reopened its doors Friday as the Wycombe Tavern and Grille more than a year after its closure.
The Wycombe Tavern and Grille in Wrightstown Township will offer a menu featuring sandwiches, soups, salads, entrees, pasta and classic tavern fare. Pizza is planned for a future addition, according to the menu.
The Diaz-Albertini Family, who own Casa Toro Mexican in Coopersburg and Doylestown, acquired the Mill Creek Road property earlier this year, according to Newtown Patch.
“We’re going to be a from scratch kitchen,” General Manager Emma Jones told Newtown Patch earlier this month. “The chefs will be smoking ribs, wings and chicken thighs.”
Located on a 1.58-acre lot near the Lingohocken Fire Company station in the village of Wycombe, the establishment was previously a 142-seat restaurant and bar. It closed on Dec. 29, 2023.
Since the 2023 closure, sales of the property fell through and the property was even posted for sheriff’s sale for a short time.
Earlier this spring, a coming soon sign was posted outside the building.
The previous owner reportedly invested $1.5 million in 2022 to renovate the location, which was previously known as the Wycombe Publick House.
