A Newtown Township woman accused of intentionally attempting to run over a woman in Bristol Borough earlier this year was arrested Friday morning.

Laurie Ann Gardner, 32, was taken into custody around 9 a.m. in the unit block of Thornyapple Lane in the Levittown section of Falls Township, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Gardner had been sought by Bristol Borough police for months in relation to the n incident on April 26, 2025.

Authorities allege that Gardner intentionally tried to run down a woman outside Phinny Magee’s Pub on Farragut Avenue.

According to authorities, Gardner reportedly slammed her vehicle into a bench with enough force to bend the structure.

The woman targeted in the incident avoided life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The search for Gardner stepped up in early December when her warrant was transferred to the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in Philadelphia. Federal law enforcement worked with Bristol Borough police and the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office to find the wanted woman.

Recent efforts focused on several locations in Lower Bucks County, including a Wednesday car stop on Veterans Highway (Route 413) in Bristol Township.

An official noted that Gardner had been staying in Levittown with a boyfriend prior to her arrest.

“This arrest reflects our continued commitment to Bucks County law enforcement and ensuring fugitives are brought to justice,” said Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Robert Clark.

Gardner is charged with two counts of attempted aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated assault by vehicle, three counts of simple assault, reckless endangerment, and criminal mischief. She will be preliminarily arraigned Friday.
