A 62-year-old Central Bucks County man has been handed a lengthy prison sentence for indecently assaulting an 11-year-old boy in Wrightstown Township.

Jeffrey Todd Lukens, a contractor from Buckingham Township, was sentenced Thursday by Bucks County Common Pleas Judge Raymond McHugh to 25 to 50 years in state prison, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

Luken was determined to be a sexually violent predator by the court.

Lukens, according to a past Doylestown Intelligencer report, was previously registered as a sex offender for a 2008 incident involving an 11-year-old boy. He served time in county prison and probation, but he was removed from the state’s sex offender list.

In March, Lukens was convicted of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors, indecent assault, invasion of privacy, disorderly conduct, and harassment following a three-day trial.

Lukens had been hired to remove bees from the boy’s home when he committed the inappropriate acts on two separate occasions.

The 62-year-old man invited the boy to assist him on September 2, 2021 and provided him with a partial bee suit for protection. As the boy was using a reciprocating saw on a ladder to remove a bee nest, Lukens inappropriately touched him and took a photograph of his thighs after lifting the boy’s shorts, authorities said.

Lukens persisted in his inappropriate actions, reaching under the boy’s shirt and touching him again. The boy eventually decided to leave the ladder when Lukens tampered with his underwear, authorities said.

Lukens returned to the house on September 6 to complete the project, during which he asked the boy for permission to take a picture of his abdomen. Without consent, Lukens lifted the boy’s shirt and took the photograph, authorities said.

The boy’s parents reported the incidents to the Newtown Township Police Department later that day. Newtown Township police patrol Wrightstown Township.

During the subsequent investigation, the police seized Lukens’ cellphone and discovered deleted photographs revealing the boy’s thighs, lower stomach, and upper pubic area.
