May 3
Theft
At approximately 3:30 p.m., police received the report of a theft from a Newtown Township residence. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
DUI
At approximately 6:45 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of the Newtown Bypass and Buck Road for the report of a hit-and-run accident. As a result of the investigation, the fleeing vehicle was located and identified. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
Drug Arrest
At approximately 10 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy pickup truck operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Stoopville Road and Millstone Drive. As a result of the investigation, suspected narcotics and drug equipment were discovered and seized as evidence, and the male operator was arrested in connection.
May 4
DUI
At approximately 2 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford SUV operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Sycamore Street and Jefferson Court. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
May 5
DUI
At approximately 2:30 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on a Subaru operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Durham and Durham Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
