After 13 years of frothy fun, the Newtown Fire Association has announced that the Newtown Beerfest will not return this year.

The annual event that brought together beer enthusiasts has been a cornerstone of Newtown’s social calendar and a vital fundraiser for the Newtown Fire Association, which serves Newtown borough and township.

“It is with mixed emotions that we announce that the Newtown Beerfest will not be held this year,” according to a post on the Newtown Beerfest’s Facebook page. “This decision was not made lightly, and we are deeply grateful for the memories, camaraderie, and generosity you have shared with us throughout the years. Your contributions have been instrumental in helping us achieve our mission of protecting and serving the Newtown community.”

The beerfest was an important fundraiser for the local fire service, which helped to fund equipment and training programs.

In their post, the association credited the event’s success to the participation and generosity of its attendees, affectionately known as the “Brew Crew.”

While the Beerfest will no longer be featured on the community’s calendar, the Newtown Fire Association emphasizes that the need for support remains critical. They encourage the community to continue their contributions through other annual fundraising activities.
